After almost 5 weeks of building work the new state-of-the-art decontamination room at parmardental is almost finished. All thats left is for us to choose the colour scheme and final fittings for the room. As well as the decon room we are building a new staff room with kitchen facilities and private lockers for each member of staff. I am looking forward to having the autoclaves and washer disinfectors out of the surgeries, especially in this heat!

I am very pleased to announce that I have been asked to lecture at the 18th ISOI conference this year in Hyderbad India. My talk will revolve around using new clinical innovations such as low dose CBCT machines to aid in the planning and execution of implant treatment. I am really excited and honoured to be invited back to India to lecture and am hoping to catch the Indian Grand Prix whilst I am out there!

Last week I was proud to be asked by the ADi to lecture at one of their Study clubs in Wakefield near Leeds. The topic was CBCT in relation to the general dental practitioner. I was pleased to see a good size turn out, and thank you to our sponsors on the night Astra Tech who continue to support me throughout my implant career.

The lecture was well received and led to a lengthy Q&A session. i would like to thank Robert Dyas for his hospitality and the ADi for inviting me.

After ALOT of travelling, and ALOT of preparation my lecture on Cone Beam CT scanning and implant dentistry was a huge success! I recieved fantastic feedback and would like to give my sincere thanks to Prof. S Bhadwaj from the Jaipur Dental School for inviting me and for being such a gracious host.

CBCT is an exciting development in dentistry and I am pleased to see it being so well received in India, a country which is placing far many implants than us in the UK

I am busy preparing my hour long presentation on CBCT and dental implants at the Annual Indian Dental Conference, I was honoured to be part of the International Faculty of this months Congress and will be away from the 9th-14th February.

We are pleased to announce that parmardental.co.uk now has 2 new Cerec Blu-Cam machines which let us make impression free cosmetic ceramic restorations in just over an hour. Proven, tested and amazingly long lasting. I look forward to placing more of these high-tech restorations.

I was very pleased to be announced at the runner up for the Best Young Dentist category (East) at the 2010Dentistry Awards this year, after winning my category last year, it is a great compliment to be short-listed yet again. Thank you to everyone at FMC for such a fantastic event!

For the second year running, Nilesh is a finalist in the Dentistry Awards, as a Finalist for the  Best Young Dentist 2010 East of England. We’ll find out on Dec 10th at the Dentistry Awards if he won!
